Gratitude. Gratefulness. For businesses and people who choose to give to causes in need, these are more than just words – they are the very reasons why many give.
With the start of a new year, we are excited to announce that we have chosen a new name for our company. Moving forward in January, 2021, Given will now be called Grateful. This change comes with great enthusiasm, as we are thrilled to unveil the new brand name to our community and continue upholding the values it represents for our brand.
While our name has changed, the Grateful app and all of our features will remain the same for our users. We are excited to expand rapidly this year and bring new features to life that enhance the giving experience for everyone involved.
The name Grateful is rooted in the themes we have heard over and over from our users and the businesses who use our platform and mobile apps. Being grateful is one of the top reasons why businesses and their leaders give to causes in need – to say thank you, to show appreciation, and to give back to their communities.
We are a company founded on values of giving and doing good in the world. At our core, we believe business and technology should have moral purpose and create positive change in the world. Our platform does more than connect organizations in need with people who can give — it helps foster a grateful community, unites people with a common purpose, and empowers individuals to share their values and charitable interests with others while being grateful.
It’s in this spirit that we share our new name with you, our community, which has inspired us to change our name to Grateful.
Today, we’re also excited to announce Grateful Cards. These virtual giving cards are purpose-built to be used in the Grateful app. Businesses and individuals can purchase Grateful Cards as an ongoing way to show appreciation toward employees, clients, friends, or family.
